Left Hand, I Love You.

I know you've all been concerned about where I've been.  Well, for one, I've been busy.  And for another, I sort of had an accident this week.  We were rollerblading at the most awesome college hangout place in town, Classic Skating. I was on my first lap around and Keisha had her hands in my back pockets and I guess we just lost our balance and I fell hard. It was painful, but I thought I just hurt my wrist, so I kept skating.  Of course, about two minutes later, I fell again, so that didn't help.  But again, I just went on skating for another hour and a half...I've made slightly more intelligent decisions in my life.

The next morning it still hurt like crazy, so Katie took me to the emergency room and sadly a small piece of one of my wrist bones broke off.  I'm not really sure how they fix that...but I'm going to see the hand doc tomorrow, so we'll see.  Also, it's my left hand, which is the hand I write with.  Yee.

So for the past few days, I've been living with just one hand, and just so you know, it's been rough.

Just try washing your hands or buttoning your pants...with one hand.

Also, talk about some seriously swollen fingers.

Side note: this took 25 minutes to type...

And a shout-out to my roomates--thank you keish for doing my hair and to katie for lotioning my hand (yes, one hand) and for helping me make dinner and to all of them for helping me with the millions of other things I've found out I can't do anymore.  I'm really grateful for my left hand.  I can't wait to get it back.

Poor stacey! Can I ask if you were dressed up like a disco fever though??? That would be the icing on the cake for your sick hand.

Ouch! I'm so sorry Stace- that really stinks! I hope it gets better soon for two reasons:
1. I genuinely want you to have a fully functional wrist for your convenience and comfort.
2. I really want to read more of your hilarious blog posts. :)
