Let's do this.
For me, this whole thing really started when I received a packing list in June telling me what I needed to pack for this 12-day rafting trip down the Grand Canyon. On the list was "a pair of lightweight pants that will dry quickly". Uhhh, I'm stumped. I got nothin'. I just threw my last pair of quick-drying lightweight pants out the week before...you know, the pair I never had. So I was sitting there, contemplating what I would bring instead. I had plenty of lightweight shorts...would that do? No. Have you seen my skin tone lately? It's like negative white, and you didn't even know that was possible. I have to find something.
And then it came to me.
Last year, we went to my Aunt Stella's house for part of our annual Christmas season festivities. She was getting rid of some of Uncle Mike's NFL gear (yeah, my uncle's in the NFL. Psych. He works on the sidelines). Def def picked up some of that fancy windbreaker-esque material NFL gear. BUT, under the NFL gear was some of Stella's stuff that she was giving away. And that is where I found it. The most beautiful thing known to man. A gift from heaven. A designer's delight.
THE PARTY PANTS.
I knew that pair of pants was going to be a prized possession from that day on. I didn't know how I would ever be able to live without them. My mom thought they were fantastic and suggested I take the matching top as well. Oh, trust me. I was all over that.
Fast forward to packing time. I knew those pants would be a hit. And conveniently, they were lightweight and fast drying. And extremely attractive. I knew it was going to be a win-win situation for both me and the sun. The sun agreed not to burn me as long as it got to see those party pants regularly.
I now present to you the party pants.
What more could you possibly want?
Oh, yes. That shirt. That is what you want. You're thinking, where on earth did she get that stunning shirt, with a delightful worn-out look? That answer would be my grandfather. My grandma actually made that shirt for him years and years ago and he decided to give it to me. That is something of a combo, the whole leopard shirt/party pants combo.
I was ready to do this thing.

Pahahaha! Fabulous. You forgot to mention your beautifully designed BYU shoes. Who on earth thought of that genius idea?
Oh my gosh Stacy - Sooooooooo much more to the story of the Party Pants! I just want you to know that it was an utter privledge getting to see those pants in person. Not only was the sun pleased, but I was thoroughly inspired. I love hearing your story unfold!
Yo--you go girl. Only thought...if you hadn't snatched them first, they might have been mine...oh, what a loss!
