Today, homegirl over here had to leave for work at 7:20 am, just like every other day.
Homegirl had set her alarm for 5:30 am (don't judge), just like every other day.
Apparently, homegirl chose to turn the alarm off instead of pressing snooze, unlike every other day.
At 7:05--yes, 7:05!--homegirl's roommate opens the door to her room and asks if homegirl should be awake by now.
Homegirl leaps, leaps! out of bed and gets ready faster than she ever has before. Of course, getting ready faster than ever before doesn't always leave time for some of the important things like showering (not actually that crucial these days...), breakfast (ultra important to this girl), preparing a lunch (vital to survival), any kind of thought as to what she should wear (which resulted in today's outfit, The Purple Pirate..awesome), or even brushing her hair. That's right, folks. Homegirl literally threw her hair back into the first thing that could not be considered an exact replication of a lion's mane and ran out the door...
...at 7:21 am.

Well...I hope you at least enjoyed the extra 1.5 hours of sleep--that should count for something, right?
Please post the "Purple Pirate" outfit ...I'm curious, and oh so far away, that I won't see it unless you put up a pix (please assure me that it is NOT on the same level as the "party pants"--that's grounds for dis-ownership of a certain someone...hey, "somebody I know might see you"!)
