Okay, so here's something.

Two years ago I made the Dean's list for Winter 2011.  That was pretty cool and I was pretty proud and that was neat and stuff.  But that's not the important part.  The important part is that about 6 months later I saw a poster in the hallway that had the Dean's list for Fall 2011 (which, obviously, comes after Winter 2011.  That's confusing to me because I always think of it as a school year and that Fall comes before Winter semester but this is calendar year so Fall comes after Winter. Have I confused you yet?)  And when I looked at it, I was like, hey my name is on there. That's weird. I was pretty sure I was not supposed to be on the Dean's list that semester because I was under the impression that you had to have a 4.0?  Anyway, when I saw my name I was like, well that's weird.  Did they mean to do that?  Was that an accident?  Am I really supposed to be on the Dean's list?  I had no idea.

But whatever, it was kind of cool that my name was up there and I just rolled with it.  Eventually the poster came down as another semester came around and they put up a new Dean's List poster and apparently I didn't make it that time.  Bummer.

Then today, I was walking down the hallway and I saw that a Dean's List had just been posted. Since my name had been put on there (by accident?) once before, I just decided to check it again.  And would you believe it? My name was on there again!  I was so confused. Do they never actually update the list and then just hope that no one is looking too closely?  What's the deal, people?  Why does my name keep getting on there? Have they lowered the requirements to get on the list?  It's so confusing!

Then I looked a little closer at the list that was posted today and I noticed that it actually wasn't the Dean's List for last fall. It's the Dean's list for next fall. It's for Fall 2013.  Which is exponentially more confusing because now I guess I'm on the Dean's List of the future!  And not only am I on the Dean's List of the future, I'm on the Dean's List of when I'm not actually going to be in college anymore.

It looks like I've outdone myself once again.  Man, I'm good.
